My story
My name is Sabina, I'm 36, I'm Polish, and I'm a sculptor working with clay for the last few years. I spent the past year living in Gozo, Malta, and now I'm back in Ireland, where my journey with clay began.
I have loved making art since I was a child. I taught myself how to sculpt, and creating handmade works has always been my form of personal art therapy. I enjoy experimenting with different media, forms, colours, and styles. My art often features body parts, explores facial expressions, and includes hand-sculpted decorations.
Creating has always provided me with a sense of fulfillment, from a young age.
I worked with ceramics from 2021 to 2024. During this time, I collaborated with the Polish art gallery and auction house ToTuart in Warsaw, had my first group exhibition at Christine X Art Gallery in Sliema, Malta, and continue to work with ArtHall Gallery in Victoria, Gozo. I also participated in the 11th edition of the Ceramic Festival in Xlendi Bay, Gozo, and worked with two arts and crafts shops in Galway city, Ireland. Additionally, I had the pleasure of teaching art lessons for adults, guiding them on how to sculpt the human face based on general rules and proportions.
In 2025, I plan to move away from ceramics and firing clay in a kiln. Instead, I will focus on creating sculptures using silicone moulds and casting. This approach will allow me to produce multiple versions of a single piece, making my work more affordable and giving you, as a potential client, the opportunity to order customised products in your preferred colours.
